Congressman Michael Guest Endorsed by the Mississippi Manufacturers Association

(Jackson, MS) – Mississippi’s Third District Congressman Michael Guest has been endorsed by the Mississippi Manufacturers Association (MMA).

MMA is committed to enhancing manufacturing in Mississippi by supporting and championing programs and legislation that create the ideal environment for present and future manufacturers while operating in an ethical and professional manner.

In their endorsement letter, MMA announced that their Board of Directors voted unanimously to endorse Congressman Guest’s candidacy for re-election. The MMA letter also stated, “We applaud and appreciate your voting record on issues that support a strong manufacturing environment in Mississippi and the United States.”

“I’m very honored to receive the endorsement from MMA as they represent thousands of people who are working hard across our state to make our economy stronger every day,” said Congressman Michael Guest. “In Congress, I’m fighting for our conservative values of lower taxes, fewer regulations and a robust, free market economy that provides more jobs and opportunities today and for the future.”

In his first term in Congress, Congressman Guest serves as a member of the Committee on Homeland Security and the House Foreign Affairs Committee. In addition, Congressman Guest is the only first-term Republican member of Congress currently serving on the House Committee on Ethics which is an important committee charged with maintaining the integrity of the U.S. House of Representatives. He was appointed to this position by House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy.

Prior to being elected to Congress in 2018, Guest served for 11 years as District Attorney for Madison and Rankin Counties. He is a member of the Mississippi Bar Association and the Rankin County Bar Association. Congressman Guest is a longtime resident of Rankin County where he and his family are members of Brandon Baptist Church where he serves as a deacon and Sunday school teacher. His educational background includes being a graduate of Brandon High School, as well as earning an accounting degree from Mississippi State University and a law degree from the University of Mississippi. Congressman Guest is married to the former Haley Kennedy of Brandon. They have two sons, Kennedy and Patton.
