Congressman Michael Guest Awarded “A” Rating from Susan B. Anthony List National Pro-Life Scorecard

(Jackson, MS) – Today, Mississippi’s Third District Congressman Michael Guest received an “A” rating from the new Susan B. Anthony List National Pro-Life Scorecard.

This “A” rating measures Congressman Guest’s record—including votes, co-sponsorships of key legislation, congressional letters and other pro-life work during the first session of the 116th Congress.

“The Susan B. Anthony List’s New Pro-Life Scorecard takes the pro-life movement to the next level, allowing us to show a dynamic, in-depth picture of each legislator’s record on life,” said Susan B. Anthony List’s President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “In a pivotal election year, when the Republican conference is united on the life issue and the stakes are higher than ever, merely voting pro-life is not enough – we expect and celebrate leadership. The Susan B. Anthony List National Pro-life Scorecard is a powerful tool to educate voters and empower them to hold abortion extremists accountable at the ballot box.”

“I’m very grateful to receive this ‘A’ rating for my work on pro-life issues and to be a voice for the unborn in the U.S. Congress,” said Congressman Michael Guest. “As a husband and father, I know that all life is a precious gift from God. Mississippians overwhelmingly support the right to life, and I will continue fighting for pro-life policies every day that I’m serving our state.”

The Susan B. Anthony List is a network of more than 837,000 pro-life Americans nationwide, dedicated to ending abortion by electing national leaders and advocating for laws that save lives, with a special calling to promote pro-life women leaders.

In his first term in Congress, Congressman Guest serves as a member of the Committee on Homeland Security and the House Foreign Affairs Committee. In addition, Congressman Guest is the only first-term Republican member of Congress currently serving on the House Committee on Ethics, which is an important committee charged with maintaining the integrity of the U.S. House of Representatives. He was appointed to this position by House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy.

Prior to being elected to Congress in 2018, Guest served for 11 years as District Attorney for Madison and Rankin Counties. He is a member of the Mississippi Bar Association and the Rankin County Bar Association.
