An individual may contribute up to $5,800 ($2,900 to the primary election; $2,900 to the general election). A couple may contribute up to $11,600 ($2,900 to the primary election per spouse; $2,900 to the general election per spouse). A multicandidate federal PAC may contribute up to $10,000 ($5,000 to the primary election; $5,000 to the general election). Contributions are not deductible for federal income tax purposes. Corporate checks and contributions from foreign nationals are prohibited. Federal law requires us to report the name, address, occupation and employer of any donor whose aggregate contributions total in excess of $200 per election cycle.
